Last game of the season. Best word to describe the 2012/2013 season? Inconsistent. Both on and off the pitch inconsistent was the key word.

I agree with your list although I do feel that Shelvey & Coates deserve another look (esp Coates who’s barely played since we signed him). I really do think with time and experience Coates will come good for us. Skrtel really does my head in. He complains that he’s been dropped from the team & he doesn’t understand why, then when he’s given the chance to prove Rodgers wrong we have a result like today’s. Quite frankly with all his moaning and nothing to back it up, he can go. Assaidi is a strange one but if we can get the people you’ve listed then I’m all for him going. I’ve never been high on Spearing and Carroll so I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if they went.
Realistically I can see us getting De Vrij, Ince & Gameiro. Another LB & DM would be nice too. I don’t think we’re gonna get Ben Arfa or Eriksen though but if we got them I’d be delighted.
Could’ve, should’ve done better is the moral for today. Onto City next…

Didn’t get to watch the game but congrats to Danny Sturrdige for getting his first league goal for Liverpool.

Starting line-up: Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel (Carragher 73’), Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson (Suso 67’), Sterling (Allen 57’), Suarez, Downing.
Another good performance and another Anfield win. I’m pretty happy with that and now we can rest players at Macclesfield for the trip to Old Toilet.

Lol that girl looks pissed off that that guy interrupted her picture session.

MOTM: Easily Luis Suarez. I hope he’s just as magical against United because I’d love it if he got 2 or 3 goals in front of those muppets.
No recap for today’s game. Let’s just enjoy our little Christmas miracle.
Starting line-up: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Lucas (Carragher 83’), Gerrard, Shelvey (Allen 74’), Downing, Suarez, Suso (Sterling 71’).
Goals by: Skrtel, Gerrard, Downing & Suarez.

MOTM: Stevie G followed closely by Stewart Downing (did this performance just raise his transfer fee?).
Another game where it was close but it shouldn’t have been if we had just taken our chances (January can’t come soon enough).

It was a pretty good line-up to start the game and I felt confident we could get the win. Poor Nuri Sahin didn’t last long though as he picked up some sort of head injury which left him nose-bleeding all over the place.

Our goal finally came from some good positional sense from Suso and an easy finish for Jordan Henderson.

I’m happy for Jordan as he seems to have responded to the manager’s call to prove his worth to the team.

By the time the Udinese player got sent off we should’ve been out of sight. Luis Suarez, Suso and Henderson all had chances to put the game away but didn’t because of great goalkeeping or poor finishing.

It almost cost us in the end when Di Natale found himself free int he box right at the death but he blasted his chance wide. We finished top of the group (I think) and we’re off to the next round of the competition.

MOTM: Martin Sktrel was immense today and time after time we put in some great interceptions to stop Udinese from getting chances at goal.

I have nothing more to add that hasn’t been said already and the Premier League officials don’t deserve my time or thought process. Instead, here’s the man who deserved a hat trick and his teammates who deserved a win today.

And to round it off, a nice banner to remind us what still is possible in Merseyside, unity over the one subject that affects all in Liverpool.
